Horizon Report for 2011

Sherden rightly pointed out that futurists are wrong most of the time. He also covered potential issues with techniques such as the modified Delphi process where group-think bias can exist and limiting one's focus on a single technology or trend instead of evaluating the benefit of combining them in new and unexpected ways.
I like how augmented reality is growing in everyday devices and applications. For instance an Android phone's camera can look at a location through its camera and overlay information about what is there.  designing complex or dangerous devices or practicing complex surgeries are other great examples of useful augmented reality.

I found the cloud tech trend discussion interesting. I imagine a world where any data or application will be available regardless or physical location or connection. Of course this means our current notions and perceptions of privacy are obsolete.
